Custom Round Paper Edge Protector for Circular Packaging

Anyone who has shipped a roll of paper, film, or cable knows the weak spot is always the edge. Straps dig in, pallets push back, and the first thing to crease or dent is the circular rim. Our round paper edge protector was developed to take that risk away.

Unlike straight angle boards, this design is shaped to match the product itself. Each piece forms a complete ring or curved segment that sits neatly on the top and bottom edges of a reel. Built from spiral-wound paper tube board laminated with kraft paper, the protector spreads out the load from strapping and stacking. Instead of a single pressure point leaving a scar, the force is absorbed evenly across the circle.

In use, it’s simple. Place one ring on top and one underneath, choose either a full circle or two or three arcs depending on the size, and then proceed with your normal packaging routine. Packing Strap tension presses against the protector, not the product. Stretch film clings to a smooth kraft surface, not a fragile paper edge. When the load is set on a Pallet, the protectors keep the roll edges off the timber and prevent scuffing.
