In her position at the Center's Eastern Office, located in Greenville, Thomasyne Jefferson interacts with economic development officials, faculty and staff of educational institutions and the general public promoting biotechnology by:
- Coordinating, planning and hosting biotechnology events such as REG Science at Starlight, Science Café and BioEducation forums in the region
- Distributing biotechnology grant information to the eastern region
- Assisting the Regional Executive Director and other regional offices with programs and events
Biography
Thomasyne relocated from California in 2005, bringing over 10 years experience as an account manager and over 15 years experience in production planning.
Prior to joining the Center in 2008, Thomasyne worked as an administrative assistant for Eli Lilly at their satellite office, located at DSM Pharmaceuticals, Greenville, N.C.
Her interests outside of biotechnology include traveling throughout the region of North Carolina discovering all its natural beauty and resources.
